Senses Fail Announces Limited Edition Bonus DVD, iTunes Bonus Track for The Fire

(September 9, 2010) – SENSES FAIL announce that the first pressing of their forthcoming fourth full-length, THE FIRE (10/26, Vagrant) will also contain a limited edition live concert film on DVD. The seven-camera HD shoot was filmed on October 31, 2009 when the NJ-based band headlined a hometown Halloween show at Starland Ballroom where they were joined by guitarist Heath Saraceno who had recently left the band. The DVD features over 90 minutes of live footage and interviews with the band and was directed by Adam Rothlein (My Chemical Romance, The Get Up Kids, Ben Folds). When the first pressing runs out, subsequent physical copies of the album will contain the CD only.

Senses Fail will also be adding a bonus track entitled “Ghost Town” to the iTunes digital version of The Fire that will not be available on any physical copies.

“We never got to have a proper goodbye for Heath and his last show was very unceremonious, so it was great to have him back for this show and on this DVD,” said singer Buddy Nielsen. “This is our first live DVD and I think we did a killer job. I think everyone will like the song selection.”

Senses Fail and Bayside recently announced co-headlining dates for the Atticus Black Presents: Out With The In Crowd Tour that begins October 19 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and includes stops across the U.S. and Canada. Click HERE for all the dates.

In addition to Nielsen, Senses Fail features guitarist Garrett Zablocki, drummer Dan Trapp, bassist Jason Black and guitarist Zack Roach.

SENSES FAIL Announce October 19 Release Date for THE FIRE!

Senses Fail will release their fourth full-length album, The Fire, on October 19, 2010. The band once again recorded with producer Brian McTernan at his Salad Days studio outside Baltimore, Maryland.

“We worked on this record for 8 months and I can say without a doubt that we put every single shred of energy and passion into these songs,” said singer Buddy Nielsen. “The record is a journey and it reflects our experiences over the last two years. I'm so proud of the work we have done and so proud of the job that Brian McTernan did in navigating the process.”

“I think one of the reasons people like Senses Fail is because we are honest with ourselves and honest with our music,“ he added. “Our passion and love for what we do is what makes our music feel alive and I don't think we've ever felt more alive.”

The Ridgewood, New Jersey-based band includes Nielsen, guitarist Garrett Zablocki, drummer Dan Trapp, bassist Jason Black and new guitarist Zack Roach. The new album follows up their 2008 release, Life is Not a Waiting Room, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and #18 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Senses Fail Announce New Album

Senses Fail has returned to producer Brian McTernan’s Salad Days studio outside Baltimore, Maryland this week to begin recording their fourth full-length album. The disc is expected to be released this fall.

“We're very excited to be back in the studio and working on our new record which is going to be titled The Fire,” said singer Buddy Nielsen. “The direction of the music is still developing but we have about 17 solid songs and based upon which ones turn out the best in the studio, they’ll determine the overall vibe of the record. This record is a reaction and a release of a whirlwind of emotions that came from fighting for what we love and dealing with change and growth both personally and creatively.”
